File Cannot Be Found error when swapping to IR

I have recently installed CS2 on a G5 machine. When working on a file in PS I try to edit into IR and get the message that the file cannot be opened in IR because the "file cannot be found." If I then open the file directly from IR, it is minus any guides of slices created in PS. If I try to swap from IR to PS, Photoshop crashes.

I downloaded updates…wondering if there is a bug…meanwhile, I’ll dump preferences and try again.
