Can’t access the Tools Window (it’s just a small box w/a feather)

On the Window dropdown, I check Tools, uncheck it.

Restart PSCS2 & my computer, but still have a tiny box w/a feather instead of the Tools (paintbrush, etc.). There’s no close or minimize features on the window.

If it’s a PS bug, I hope others will be helped by this. I wasn’t about to pay $40 for the phone help, and the help menu in PS and this site had no information on this topic.

I hope to use tools in the future.

Thanks-

Thanks.

The lack of consistent minimize & close buttons w/ the other windows completely stumped me.

Now I can work again!

Did this on previous versions too. For some reason there have been lots of complaints about it lately.

This is familiar behavior to Mac 0S 9 and earlier users. Known as "windowshading". It works on all the palettes, not just the toolbar.
