The contrast control on my 19" Hitachi CM752ET CRT display is now approaching maximum when calibrating. If I cannot correct it then looks like its on end of life. I already have a 17" TFT extended display but I prefer using the CRT as Primary for Photoshop use.
As I see it I could:
(a) Use the displays external controls to lift the R, G and B settings. These are set to give grey with 6500K white point and Hitachi phosphors and I have no tint just now.
(b) Seeing if there is an internal contrast (voltage) adjustment which will boost the guns individually or together.
Of course in trying (a) if one of the guns is already at max then I will never get proper display hardware calibration.
I don’t think Hitachi supports CRTs any longer.
