I am trying to add a copyright symbol to a document. I open up the shape tool in PSCS2. Click on the copyright symbol and try to drag it to the document but all I get is the + shaped cursor which just disappears. Can someone tell me how to put the symbol on the document.

hold down the alt key and on the numeric keypad type 0169 (so that’s alt-0169)… or use the character map app in windows to copy and paste. (start> accessories> system tools> char map).

Look at Help for info on the Shape tool. You don’t drag it from the palette to the document. You choose the Shape you want and the path options in the Options Bar and draw that shape on the document. Hold down Shift to constrain proportions.
