I make things on my scroll saw.
If it’s a sign I’m making, I select the font and size, print it, copy it to the wood, and cut it out.
I’m wasting a LOT of ink on the letters. All I need is an outline of the letters.
How can I print just the outline of the letters?
Thanks for the help.

Type the text using white as the colour.
Rasterize the layer
Load selection
Stroke the selection using a darker colour
You can then print just the outline. If you do the same task often, record an action and then just run the action each time

Thanks, Mayor
It worked just fine.
I don’t know how to "record an action" or "run the action", though. Can you explain, please?

Next to your History tab there is an Actions tab. Click that and click the New icon. There are control buttons like those on a tape recorder – press the round record button. Then go through the instructions above, up to and including print. Then press the Stop (square) button. It is just like recording a macro. You will have to work out how to get the new text in, but it should be easy. The next time you want to print the outlines, click on the action tab, select the macro and click the run button.
