Can’t open NEW FILE

Photoshop CS (on OSX 10.3) was working fine this morning and then suddenly, I couldn’t open a new file. When I go to File>Open all the top menu items go pale except "Edit". No window pops asking for new file options. Nothing.

Do I need to reinstall Photoshop?

First do the system maintenance and test a Spare User

If it clears in Spare, trash your User PS Prefs…

If no clear in Spare, Purge PS and reinstall…
