I don’t know if it works under win98… but look up ‘UFRaw’… it might do the trick for you. Failing everything else… look up the ‘open raw’ dot org site. It SHOULD be able to lead you in a better direction if we can’t.
PS. I shoot the 8800 and SELDOM find any good reason to shoot in RAW – even APART from the fact that it is painfully slow to write to card. Whay are you shooting in RAW? TIFF gives you uncompressed data if that is your worry… and doing something like a custom white balance before a shoot can solve all your WB woes.
Not to seem a prick or anything but I only ever _really_ shoot RAW to try out the new raw conversion software ( I work at a camera shop ). I’m interested in what purpose it serves for you?
