Actions to already opened images?

I’m sure someone else asked this very recently …

Any way, there is no [straightforward] way to do this. Maybe scripting would help, but that’s specialised.

You can run a batch action on all open files. Set source to OPEN FILES, and set destination to NONE. Your action will run on all open images and they will remain open.

Wanna know something really cool?

In version 7, you can select files from the browser, then run the batch on only those files you’ve selected.

In the batch dialog, set the source to BROWSER.

So you don’t have to separate files into different folders to run a batch on them: for example, Action 1 on color images, Action 2 on grayscale; driven by your selection.

I think this is pretty cool…
