Is there a way to make a guide from the ruler tool like the "Make Guide" in Illustrator?

You can just pull Guides out from the Ruler in Photoshop in the same way that you do in Illustrator; but you cannot select a Shape and make a Guide from it in Photoshop as you can in Illustrator.
