does anyone know how to configure elements to use and icm profile for printing? not just the preferences for ‘optimized for print’ but how to tell it which icm profile to use. I my case it is sublimation inks for an epson c82 printer –

Richard,
Ian Lyons has a fine tutorial on printing at < http://www.computer-darkroom.com/ps7_print/ps7_print_mac.htm> .

For your specific question, you need to do two things. Use the Print preview, Check the "show more options" box at the bottom left. Then select "color management" in the drop down box. Now you will have a choice of print space . That box will give you all the ICC profiles installed on your pc. Select the one you want, and either "perceptual" or "relative colorimetric" for the rendering intent, then go to the Epson driver, Advance settings and check the "no color adjustment" box.
With this configuration, the only color translation will be handled by your selected ICC profile in the Print Space box.

Good luck and by all means check out Ian Lyons’ website.
