Hi there
I can’t make the ‘snap to guides’ work – it just doesn’t, and I have to move selections manually to get them to fit.
If I’m allowed another question, how do I make a perfect square with the crop tool? My Classroom in a Book’ says hold down Shift, but it doesn’t work, and nether does Alt or any of the other possibilities. Have tried resetting Preferences but makes no difference.

how do I make a perfect square with the crop tool?

Click on Crop tool. Hold down shift. Draw.

I can’t make the ‘snap to guides’ work

Check your menu settings. View|Snap To. Make sure Guides is checked.
