When I am working on an image and want to use the middle button in the top right corner to resize the image to full size, Photoshop shuts down and I get an error message telling me that …. there was an error and that Photoshop will shut down. Has anyone experienced that and if so, what can I do about it?

I’ve never encountered anything like that. It sounds like a video (graphics) driver problem. Try updating your driver.

In any event, since PS shut down abnormally your preferences file may have become corrupted, so you should probably delete or rename it.

I agree that it might be a video driver. To test that turn hardware acceleration down to zero.

Display properties>settings>advanced>troubleshoot.

It could also be a third party application for UI modification (Tweak UI?).
