Why do I have to purge the cache?

Sometimes I come back to folder in FB. Rotations are other things are gone. I select purge cache and that fixes it. but why?

I might be missing things that are obvious to everyone else, but what do you mean "come back to a folder"? What folder in PS? What’s FB? What do you mean "rotations are gone"?

Maybe you’re describing layer effects that need to be calculated by PS to display properly, in which case the cache may be using up most of your RAM. You can try increasing the memory allocation to PS.

Or ignore me if I’ve totally missed the point…

FB is File Browser.

As to why Scottie’s FB cache becomes corrupted, I am afraid that I haven’t a clue.

Yes this "cache" in the file browser. Everything works fine except this one thing.

Now the question makes sense. I didn’t catch that obvious abbr.

I’d still try allocating more RAM to PS to see if it might fix the problem.
