Hi!
I’m running PS 7.01 (can’t upgrade) on a WIN98 system. Used to LOVE silverfast – came with my EPSON Expression636 scanner. Just rebuilt system. Now all TWAINS are slower, but Silverfast takes 8:00 minutes to do a six inch wide, three inch high 300dpi image. My system monitor says that there are plenty of resources still available, so that’s not it. Am also running WinPatrol, Zone Alarm, and Avast, but shutting these down does nothing to improve scanner performance. Suggestions anyone? I really prefer the silverfast layout.
