We have PS 7.0 running on Jaguar. It has started giving me an error message and not opening my layered psd’s. The flattened tif versions open fine.
"Could not open "filename.psd" because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."
Everything wa done in this same version on this same computer. I deleted PS 7, reinstalled it, downloaded 7.0.1 upgrade and installed it. It was fine for 2 days and now it’s started again. Another computer on our network has started doing the exact same thing. We are not using each other’s files.
Please help.

Are you opening or saving files across a network?
Don’t — it is a guaranteed recipe for disaster.

See if you can open the baulky files in Illustrator — you may get lucky.
