When pasting an oval (48"x36") into Photoshop weird shapes are being knocked out of the art. There is no hidden art, clipping masks, compound paths etc. Restarted machine and still this happens. Has anyone experienced this and if so is there an explanation to this odd behavior. Thanks!

What machine model, RAM, version of Photoshop?

The machine is a dual 1.25 GHz mirrored door G4 with a gig of ram. Photoshop is version 7.0.1.

Try dragging-&-Dropping instead of copy/paste.

And make sure that your Photoshop file is big enough — 7.0.1 had size limitations.

Thank you very much, the oval was too large. I tried the same shape on another computer with the same results. Once I scaled down the art it pasted just fine. Thank you again!
