Sometimes when I make a path into a selection, interior portions of the path does not become part of the selection. For example: if my path is shaped like a donut, the interior circle doesn’t become part of the selection, just the outer circle. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I haven’t found a common reason for it working or not. Any answers?
Thanks.

Using the Selection tool,
Option Click on the outer path, then
Shift Option Click on the inner path, then
Cmd. Click on the correct "layer" in the paths palette (or choose "Make Selection" from the fly-out menu).

Ann, Adobe broke it.
(They did a lot of good things and some bad. Reminds me of PS v.1.7 : )

What did Adobe break?

I have just tried doing it again (in the way that I stated above) and it works perfectly.

But I have no control over your choice of Krispy-Kreme fillings.

Your solution works, but selections from paths didn’t need solutions for a long time.

There is a FAQ on Paths but maybe Message #1 should be added to it?
