in php7, when you have a jpg image open,
then you make any operation and then close the image,
"by just clicking at the x, top right corner," then you have a window that ask you if you want to apply the changes……….up to here is all ok……
but then sometimes comes out the window were you can
chosse the compression level and sometimes does not???
somebody knows wy?

I don’t work in jpg mode because when you save, data is lost. I’m only guessing here, but, if you first save a jpg image, and you select the compression level, doesn’t that mean the compression level will stay the same from then on, and you don’t need the level box any more? You only need it the first time? Lynn

The program asks you to choose level of compression only when you save a jpeg image as a copy or you choose "save As" because then it is conmsidered to be a new picture. If you use just "save" there won’t be this window. LLutton wrote in message

If you have previously saved the image from Photoshop,
Photoshop will use the same compression level without
asking you. If you have not saved it from Photoshop
before, then Photoshop is likely to ask you what
compression level to use, although I don’t know if
this is always the case.

On a side note, each time you save a jpeg it recompresses the file and because it’s a lossy format it removes information so it is not a good idea to use jpeg for image manipulation. Slowly the quality of the file will deteriorate, so use a different format when manipulating images and only save in jpeg when you want to transfer the file.
