Can anyone tell me the file path (Photoshop 6.0 running in classic OS9) to the selections that I’ve saved? Or is there one at all? Are the selections saved as an integral part of the image file itself??

I’m working on JPEGS in iPhoto and, after working on the image and flattening it, I want to be able to just save it in it’s JPEG format, but the existance of the saved selections seems to prevent this and prompts me to save it as a Photoshop file.

Thanks in advance!

When you use the "save selection" command, it prompts you for where to put the selection.

They can be saved as alpha channels in the same image, or in another image.

Yes, the extra channels can’t be saved in JPEG – unless you use SaveForWeb (which will discard all the extras, or you can use a saved selection to target the image optimization).
