I am now getting this error message EVERYTIME I try to save a photo. It doesn’t matter if it is just a ‘save,’ or a ‘save as.’

I am using MacOSX 10.3.3 on a G4 with 512 mb ram. The hard drive is 40 gigs with lots of room.

I am saving on the local hard drive, not a network or removable disk. I have even tried it on the second internal hard drive.

I am using version 7.0.1 of Photoshop

I have done a Norton Disk Doctor, Permission repair, Drive 10, Disk Warrior. Nothing helps

Any ideas?

For instance, click on this thread:

Chris Cox "psd disk error on save" 3/16/04 4:51pm </cgi-bin/webx?13/0>

And also make sure you have no non-UNIX characters in the name of anything in your path (files, folders, drives). Use only numbers and the letters of the English alphabet.

I always get this with PS 7.01 when saving a file via action that contains more than 32 characters.

Is this what you’re doing?
