Photoshop Elements 2.0 Locks on start-up in XP

I’ve been using this program for about 1 year now with only one problem. About every 10th time I launch the program it checks for updates. Whenever it does this the program locks. Needless to say, I’ve never been able to update the software. Any suggestions? When I try to do this manually it says it couldn’t connect and to check network settings. I can’t get an update even if I shut down my firewalls.

The easiest way to fix this is just simply go to Edit>Preferences>Adobe Online and set the interval for checking updates to Never. There are no updates, so you’re not even missing anything! Do it; you’ll love it. 🙂
