Dear all,
I have purchased an Epson 3170 and is planning to use that to scan a few thousands 35mm film. The scanner does provide a piece of software that has some of the basic functions like histogram, USM, etc. Just wondering if anyone have experience on whether I should just use the epson software to do the scanning or use PS or PSE to get the image. The epson does have software based dust/scratch removal but seems pretty much useless to me. The epson software is also "suppose" to give me better color and support a color resoration feature.
any experience or comment welcome.
