Fantastic! I love it – and will send the link off to my husband. Thanks Grant!

Pure magic! I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving myself but can appreciate the sentiments.

I made a big batch of my special recipe fudge to bring to the family gathering ( that’s what they think….they don’t know i copied it from a magazine in the Doc’s office 😉 ) ….anyways, everyday should be thanksgiving. Think of all the food and cheer ??…na really though, if we all just spent a little more time enjoying the little stuff we’d be alot better off. Don’t need turkey day to do that ! Look what Barb does with her camera…Look what Grant does for us on this forum…2 challenges he manages on a daily basis! Look what Ray did for us…posting those links for the brushes…amazing. Amazing people on a daily basis…that’s what it’s all about.
Jodi, you took the words right out of my mouth. Everyday we should be grateful for the quality of our lives. We are priviliged to live in a world with enough food, shelter and safety. Everyday is a Thanksgiving day, with or without turkeys.

I do agree with the sentiments, although there are days we seem to have "turkeys" without the Thanksgiving. 🙂
’twas the night of Thanksgiving and i just couldn’t sleep. I tried counting backwards, i tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned – the dark meat and white
But i fought the temptation with all of my might.
Tossing and turning with anticipation
The thought of a snack became infatuation.
So i raced to the kitchen, flung open the door
And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
’til all of a sudden, i rose off the ground.
I crashed throu gh the ceiling, floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.
But, i managed to yell as i soared past the trees . . .
"Happy eating to all – pass the cranberries, please."
May your stuffing be tasty, may your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes ‘n’ gravy have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious, may your pies take the prize. May your thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs
Grant,
That one must be making the rounds, Just got it an hour ago!
Still funny, tho.

That card was fun – we don’t do Thanksgiving in Australia – our Turkeys get nervous around Christmas..
But I will stop today and give thanks – to all the people on this forum in particular; I am very thankful for having found such a fine bunch of people, who are willing to help and assist each other in such a friendly way. I also give thanks for my family; and for the fact that I am not spending today in the casualty ward of the children’s hospital, which was touch and go for a while there yesterday. May you and all your families be happy and healthy, today and all days.
