G4 800 Photoshop CS OSX 10.34

My info pallete is not displaying any info. I think this is related to the 10.34 update, but I can’t be positive, I didn’t notice this before I updated, but I tend to use the info pallete a lot. I tried resetting preferences with not luck. Hopefully there is something simple I have missed.

I seem to remember that someone else tracked this down to the fact that they had removed the Apple LiGothic and AppleGothic .dfonts from their System/Library/Fonts folder.

I searched before posting, but came up empty.

Jay,

Try the correct spelling of palette. You misspelled it on the title of the thread, so it’s very possible you misspelled it when you did a search as well.

Ramón, I think that was the case in my search. I have found the relevant thread, thanks Ann. Putting Apple Gothic and Li Gothic haven’t done the trick, so I tried some other fonts that I have recently moved and all is well.

Tell us which fonts you replaced because it could help to nail the cause of this problem.

I put a pile back in and then started pulling them out one by one (restarting photoshop each time),But had to stop to do some work

I am down to:

apple ligothic medium
applegothic
courier
geneva
hei
keyboard
Lastresort
Lucindagrande
and monaco

All dfonts

I will track it down next week.

My System/Library/Fonts contains only:
Apple LiGothic Medium.dfont
AppleGothic.dfont
AquaKanaBold.otf
AquaKanaRegular.otf
Courier.dfont
Geneva.dfont
HelveticaLTStd Roman.otf
Keyboard.dfont
LastResort.dfont
LucidaGrande.dfont
Monaco.dfont
Symbo
Symbol
TimesLTStd Roman.otf
Zapf Dingbats
ZapfDin
———-
It looks as if the vital ones, as far as the Info palette goes, may be among these: Geneva.dfont
Keyboard.dfont
LastResort.dfont
LucidaGrande.dfont
Monaco.dfont

I’ll add this to the FAQ – thanks for isolating the font.

I finished my work early and had time to isolated the font.

Geneva was the culprit.

Down to:
Courier
Geneva
Keyboard
LastResort
LucidaGrande
Monaco

in my system/library/fonts folder, and I will see if any other problems pop up.
