I have installed PS CS 2 and the help system does not activate correctly.
When I select Help/Photoshop Help… or when I press the F1 key, the cursor changes from its pointer shape to the hourglass. After about 5 seconds, it changes back to the pointer shape.
Each time I try to select help, a new ahc.exe process is created.
The "How to Create How To’s" page opens correctly as do the new features and "at a glance" info from the splash screen.
The installers have consistently failed to function correctly – it runs for 40 minutes to install just PS on a 1.5 GHz Centrino and then start the install process over again. As a result, I have allowed the installer to run through the cycle and then I kill the installer process.
All other functions in PS appear to execute correctly.
I’d appreciate any advice on how to correct this.
Thanks,
