Photoshop CS2

What causes Photoshop to leave temp files (~psB6.tmp for example)in the folders. I would think is should clean up after itself. Disk space is hard enough to come by without having tmp files left around.

Bridge and the "file is already open" error.

Photoshop does clean up after itself, but can’t do that when some other application is holding the file open.
