Blending effects using soft light

I am having trouble in Photoshop CS when I flatten images that use one or more layers in the soft light blending mode. The images look like I want them when they are in multiple layers but the effect diminishes when the images are flattened. It is not a problem printing the images at home but if I want to publish them they need to be flattened.

Are you viewing the images at 100%?

Many thanks – I was not doing that. I was working on large files and keeping all of the image on the screen. It’s easy enough to check at 100% even though with big images you only see a small part of the final product.
