I have some images already created. They are gif files. I would like for the images to have a transparent background. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to change the image so that it has a transparent back ground.

Thank you Bill

Hi, Bill.

Is the background a single color? If so, just select it and delete it and you should see the checkerboard background that tells you it’s transparent.

If it’s a complex background, then use the selection tools to select the subject(s) of the image, and then paste the subject(s) into a new image created with a transparent background (File–>New, then make sure the background is set to Transparent at the bottom of the dialog box).

Hope that helps.

Lou.
