Hi, I’m trying to rasterize some text but when I click the layer menu, the type and the raster tools are greyed out. what’s wrong? Mindy

Are you on the Type Layer when you try to raterize it?

Then there is no explaination, unless the text is not a true text layer, or unless you have locked the text layer in the layers palette.

Actually I deleted the type layer and added a new text layer and I can access the type and raster tool but say you click on edit, transform and flip horizontally, it does it but in dotted form, kind of like it’s waiting for acceptance but I don’t know how to accept the changes.

Ah. I’d be willing to bet that you’re using the Type Mask Tool, instead of the regular type tool. Make sure that you’re using the regular type tool and try again.
