I just upgraded to CS from Elements 2 & cant figure out how to create custom gradients, all I see are the pre sets w/ no edit button. The Help file is mute on this subject.
Much Apreciated,
Bill

Bill,

In most basic terms, select any foreground color and background color in your tools palette. Those become your start and end colors for your gradient. Then. using the gradient tool, drag your cursor across the part of the image you wish to apply the gradient to. For more detail, go to your printed or online user guide.

Hope this points you in the right direction.

Bill,

Clicking on the Gradient pop-up (not the little triangle but the actual colored gradient) in the Menu bar, will bring up the "Gradient Editor". You’ll have to use the online user guide for detailed instructions from this point.

Thanks, I knew they had to have hidden the gradient editor somewhere! Bill Mack
