For some reason the font won’t display correctly. The regular 12 point font is now microscopic, a font that says 1200pt is about a size 2 on screen. What’s going on? I think it’s some sort of setting problem where some ratio got mixed up, but I’m not certain. Help?

What is your magnification level set at? Double click on the Zoom tool to resize to 100% or the hand tool to fit the screen.

(image> image size)… it should be around 72ppi for screen or 300ppi for print.

And point size for fonts is based on 72 points per inch. If you have a 12 point font on a graphic that is 72 pixels/inch, it will be about 12 pixels high, while a 12 point font on a 300 pixels/inch image will be about 50 pixels high.

And if it isn’t an image resolution problem, deleting your prefs file as per the forum FAQ should fix it.
