Once I click on a tool, I can’t seem to turn it off unless I select another tool. Is there a way to turn off a tool?

George, the short answer to your question is…."No." There’s no off button in the toolbox, and that’s a little hard to get used to at first. I try to remember to ‘park’ on one of the tools that won’t do anything to the image if I accidentally sweep across the desktop with it – the marquee tool and the zoom tool fit this description. But I still occasionally find myself leaving a brush stroke across the image when I forget…

George,

I usually just click on the HAND tool when I’m finished with a tool.

It’s safe for me. Heaven knows what I’d do with others. LOL
