HELP!

I am getting very faint lines about 1/16 of an inch apart across the page, on my prints,runnin top to bottom across the short measurement. Most noticeable on B&W but on color also.

I tried cleaning the printhead, checked the nozzle pattern and Print head alignment but I still get the lines, I have lotsa ink.

Any ideas? I am using a Canon S800 printer and matte photo paper.

Thanks, Hugh

Go to Image>Resize>Image Size and check the resolution. If you see any numbers to the right of a decimal point, remove them and make the resolution number whole. Then try the print again and see if the lines go away.

Thanks Beth,

I tried reprinting with the resolution set for 300–no decimal points either side–still get the lines. Looks as if I were printing on a fine linen writing paper

What OS are you using, Hugh?

In Mac OS X, this happens sometimes with my HP printer and deleting the printer from print center and adding it back again usually fixes it.

Barbara;

If OS stands for Operating System, I am using Windows 98, does that help? I am not sure I have a "print center" or what its equivalent would be. (Long time darkroom printer, thus I am a digitally deprived person)

Thanks, I am sure the answer will show up eventually.

Have you checked the Canon website to make sure the printer drivers you’re using are the most up to date for the combination of your printer model and operating system?
