There’s probably a simple answer, but I’m new to Photoshop Elements. I’ve created an ellipse under 50×50 pixels as part of a logo for a web site. I saved it and the surrounding images as a .gif. The logo image looks good except for the border of the ellipse. How do I give it smooth edges instead of the jagged edges it has?

Clint,

I’m beginning, also, so I’m sure others can give you better answers than I can. But I do understand your problem, as I’ve fought with it, too.

When I make an ellipse, I make sure the Feather is set to zero. That gives a nice clean, smooth edge to the picture.

If there are any problems, I clean up with the eraser tool prior to saving the file.

Hope this helps. And good luck,

Lorace
