How do I created an imbedded clipping path that will automatically be recognized by Quark when importing and that will be 100% accurate, not jagged edges?

Make a path, then save the path (double clicking on the path in the paths palette). Then from the Paths palette, click on the flyout menu and choose Clipping Paths.

And then … save the file as an EPS file, with a *vector* clipping path.
