Why on earth? File open dialog, PhotoShop CS2

Okay, so Adobe provide a nice toggle so that you can either use the nice new Adobe File Open dialog, or the one native to your OS (Windows XP in this case).

The Windows dialog allows you to view thumbnails, and has a handy little preview at the bottom so you can view your PSD file before you open it.

The Adobe dialog allows you to view thumbnails, but has NO preview and DOESN’T do thumbnails for PSD files.

Where is the logic in that. Duh 🙂 I know they want us all to use the new Bridge applet (which is very cool), but this is just a VERY stupid UI thing. Thoughtless, bad design.
