Hi folks, I’ll try to be clear.

Most stock photo sites I’ve found for the most part show photos pretty much ready to print and used for flyers, advertising etc…

Can someone point to me to a site where the photos are unretouched and perhaps flawed, in need of modification?

I’m coming to grips with photoshop and find myself constantly searching the web for prints I can learn and practice photoshop techniques. I’m not looking for prints to publish, just to practice on.

….Ah, I see. You want fodder for your cannon :-). What I would do in this situation is not to go to a stock photo site, but do either a Google Image search on a particular topic that interests you, or hit Flickr and see what grabs your fancy. Stock photo sites won’t have "broken" images like the ones you’re wanting to practice with, so you’ll probably have better luck using images off the web posted by people who aren’t exactly skilled in photography and/or pre-posting retouching – read: Joe Drunkfrat who posts pictures of last week’s drunken frat party where Sally Sororityho passed out drunk, and was too stupid to at least do a Save-For-Web and reduce the size, much less an Auto-Contrast on the photos to at least compensate for his thumb being over the flash.

exactly what i do with my students – google images (large size), tell them to find a picture which they feel could be (much) better, then get to work on it. hey presto, before and after. of course, all photos are deleted thereafter to protect the innocent – and sometimes, not so innocent.

….Or just swipe some of "Artist" Mike’s crap. I’ve seen drunks produce more aesthetically appealing work by puking their guts up on the ground!

….My blog link is in my .sig. If you weren’t so busy taking out your frustrations on being talentless, you’d have noticed. From there you can find my own artwork if you’re not too lazy to click some links.

Chuckle.

….This has about as much meaning as when a troll flames someone, then adds "Cheers!" to the end of his rant.

….In any case, based on what others have said so far, and a quick Google Groups search on your posts, it’s obvious you’re just a pathetic troll out to masturbate your ego. So now I’ve no problems sending you to Killfile Hell.

PLONK<

….Boy, did that feel good or what?

Have you got a camera, or a friend with a camera? I’m sure you can create bad photos for yourself. I know I can!
