Just upgraded to Photoshop CS (Mac OS X 10.3.3. with Camera Raw 2.1 update). The only reason: to be able to open RAW files from my Canon S30 directly in Photoshop.
Just ran my first test and I am completely dissapointed. I put two examples on a website. These are parts of pictures from a birthday party. Taken with ISO 800 and available light. As you can see, Photoshop has problems with the light coming through a window. The FileViewer utility as provided by Canon delivers better results as does BreezeBrowser.
Please take a look at these examples:
example 1 Photoshop: <http://www.vitabudget.de/photoshop_1.jpg> example 1 FileViewer: <http://www.vitabudget.de/fileviewer_1.jpg>
example 2 Photoshop: <http://www.vitabudget.de/photoshop_2.jpg> example 2 FileViewer: <http://www.vitabudget.de/fileviewer_2.jpg>
Whats wrong here? Is this a known problem with Photoshop CS? Thank you.
Michael
