I have Photoshop 8. Color-wise, everything works fine in RGB. However, when I go to work in CMYK, regardless of my color managment profile or color proofing settings, the image always appears much darker than it should (see example at www.janelle.cc/ps8problem ). If I "save for web", the image appears correct. If I convert my CMYK file to RGB, it remains dark, as does a "save for web" image at this point…
When I open the same CMYK file on another computer running PS6, using the same color profile settings, everything looks correct (see example at www.janelle.cc/ps8problem ). .. Illustrator 11 displays the image just fine too.
Has any one else experienced this or have a solution? I have had to avoid serious CMYK work since Novemeber (when I purchased PS8 and a new computer) because of this issue.
