How to set up a RAM disk

I have heard many people advise about setting up a RAM disk, but how do you do this and has anyone found it an improvement???? many thanks in advance…

Unless you have an in excess of 2gigs of RAM, doing so would be fruitless as far as Photoshop is concerned.
