I’ve been looking over the information about PSCS2, and am considering upgrading (from version 7). I wanted to download a trial version to see if the new features will be useful to me, but I haven’t been able locate a trial download. I know the product hasn’t shipped yet, so maybe it’s too early for a trial, too. I was just wondering if I’ve overlooked something, or if a trial version really isn’t available yet. Anybody know?

There will be a trial version. Just hasn’t found it’s way to the web site, yet.

I’d like to get a trial version of CS2. Unfortunately my dialup connection is slow and sometimes erratic, and downloading from Adobe could be a tedious and error prone task . Might there be a way to get a trial version on disk? I got one for CS that came free with a magazine from the UK that I found at a book store, but that was just good fortune. It would be great if Adobe offered that option or if another option was available soon. Any comments?

What makes you think that cover discs of graphic mags will not have this demo as well?
You don’t need good fortune to find one of these magazines. They are plentiful.
Let’s say it might take a fortnight for the average imaging magazine to burn and give away the demo… Two months after CS2 official shiping, maybe? Maybe more…
I’d make a friend with a fast Internet connection 😉

Let’s say that Adobe marketing might be bright enough to supply magazines editors copies of the trial software in advance so that it can be released on cover discs as soon as it is offered on adobe.com. I would not doubt that things are in motion. We can all just sit back and enjoy the ride.

I suppose they are in some places, but since you don’t know where I live or what my situation is, you really don’t know how difficult it may be for me to find and obtain such items.
It is apparent that your situation is that you are impatient. Relax.
Adobe.com should be the first place that you can download the demo. Wait until it is there.
I’m not at all impatient. I just was interested in getting the demo on a disk because, if you read my original post, downloading is difficult for me to due a slow and erratic connection.
I ask a simple question and I’ve now got you telling me how to behave and what I feel, and how i should acquire a piece of software. Buzz off!
I guess it will be available for trial on cover mag CD but it will take time. I am sure that CS2 will be promoted and marketed well it’s just that the timeframes may grate with what some very interested users may want.
If someone knows what UK mags may feature a CS2 trial/demo maybe they can post the results here for scb?
Why do you want to reopen this thread to drop this a day after everyone else dropped it?
My point about impatience is simply that you must wait after the download is available directly from Adobe.com. Now that this is available for download, it should not be much more time before it appears on cover discs of graphic magazines.
You never explained your situation so none of us can recommend what magazines are available to your region. If you ask questions here, be sure to give us enough clue to help you.
The only reason that I assumed that you were impatient was because you were asking for something that none of your fellow users yet knew about. None of us could comment on how the demo would be distributed. We could only offer info about how Adobe distributed demo software in the past. Please forgive me if I read too much into your posts.
