I have to tweak the contrast on 20-30 digital photos. If there a way I can brighten all of them at the same time since all they were all underexposed rather than do this one at a time? Please let me know.

You can make an adjustment layer for one of them and then drag it onto each other photo to get the same adjustment on all of them or you can create an action made up of the steps that you perform on the first one and then run this action on each of the rest of them. Your manual or the help files will show you how to easily create the action.
