Can’t figure out how to batch process a bunch of images. Need help.

What I want to do is shrink all pictures under a directory to a curtain size and re-save as different names. How is it done?

I tried it with making the action of shrinking the file and Save As but with and the Step by Step option selected in the PlaybackOptions…. and tried with Override SaveAs selected and deselected that it always gives it the same names as the original files and does not ask me to confirm the resizing nor the saving of the file and thus does not give me the opportunity to enter a unique name for each induvidual file. I use PS7. Only option left is to batchprocess them with an additional name between filename and extension, which will be an identical name for all of them. Inoticed by the way that an Save As… command is stored or called a normal Save in the Action

To me it seems as if it is not working right?
