Hello,

I have severall hundred files in the same page size (A3) which I would like to cut into two equal pieces. I dont know how, especially how I could do the rename process in a batch job. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Marc

If i would have to do it, I would make two copies of the files in two different folders, especially created for the job. I would than create actions for creating one half of the picture (is that possible?) and an action to create the other half.
Than use the first action in > Automate > Batch and put in the renaming options Filename+TOP(or LEFT, whichever is the case in your action)+extension and use the same source and destination folder. And the other action with the proper information (DOWN or RIGHT) on the other folder.
Hope it works.

Hello Marc

Iwanted to see if such an action was possible and I do not know if you figured that out yet. it can be done.
I tried it with the top and down half variant. And this is how it works. open an image > Start a new action Give it a proper name and if desired assign a shortkey to it > SelectMenu Select All >SelectMenu: Transform selection > The propertyBar for Transform appears > first select from which side you want to crop ( for the tophalf for instance you take care to get the topbox in the middle black – standard the middle box is black) This way the action will work on any file of any measures > leave the width 100% and choose 50% for height > 2x Enter One time to fix the 50% and the second time to fix the transformation > ImageMenu: Crop And end the action. Make the other action and ofcourse use the downmiddle box in the Transformation Propertybar.

Greetings
