Same problem here. We send files to our design department and they do not want any profiles embedded. Have to save out files in PS 7 for a workaround. Big hassle.

MacBook Pro 16” Mockups 🔥

– in 4 materials (clay versions included)

– 12 scenes

– 48 MacBook Pro 16″ mockups

– 6000 x 4500 px

Sounds as if your Design Department needs to be re-staffed — or, at least, sent back to school.

wait -I’m confused. How is an embedded profile going to help a spot color job?

He didn’t actually say DCS 2 — I just assumed that was what he meant.

But the over-all blanket-instruction that files should be stripped of their Profiles was what caught my attention.

bgt,

put the file in Multichannel mode to work around this bug.

Then save as a DCS 2 file.

When saving the file as DCS 2.0 it is embedding my working profile . This file is then going to go thur my Prinergy system which will be applying profiles to match a press or another proffing device. I dont want the file to embed my Photoshop working profile.
