When I close PS7 tryout, I get the following. Does anyone know how to fix this and will it be a problem with the full version? Thanks.

PHOTOSHOP caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bffc05bb.

It looks like you have a corrupted copy as the Kernel it refers to in module Kernel32.dll is a dynamic link library which allows access to some of the central OS functions.

And no, it isn’t the same with the full version (and shouldn’t be with the tryout).

Despite restarting last night I couldn’t get rid of the
problem, but today it’s gone! Weird, but there we are.
Restart and shut down + start clearly have different effects on what’s in memory.

Yes, they do. One is called a soft reboot, the other a hard reboot. A soft reboot misses out a lot of the steps that are taken in a hard reboot.
