Excuse me if I sound a bit thick – I’m a newbie.

I need a layer on a file, of alternating different coloured diagonal stripes of even width and even spacing – any ideas how I can achieve this?

Thanks!

Mike

The way I do this is to create VERTICAL stripes of alternate colours then rotate the whole thing by 45 degrees. (Horizontal stripes would work just as well). Of course some of the image is cropped when you do this so you need to start with a larger image size than you actually need.

1. Create a newer layer with transparency background

2. Do whatever you wanna do on that newer layer and it will be add to the lower layer. And use whatever tool or adjustment you want

3. When you are happy with the result then you can MERGE them together, and enjoy the creation.
