Just installed Photoshop CS. If I open a Jpeg file and preform "Save as…" to TIFF, so that I can make my adjustments and then later convert back to JPEG. So, I click on "save as TIFF" and it tells me "A file C:\……already exists. Do you want to replace it?" I click "yes". Then when I try to reopen this file I get a warning—"Could not complete your request because an unknown or invalid JPEG marker exists." I never had this problem in Elements. I have deleted the preferences, but to no avail. Please help!

Mary,

Have a look at the filename in Windows Explorer having set your Explorer options to view extensions for registered file-types.

You will probably find the file is "filename.tif.jpg". If it is, rename the file to just "filename.tif" and THEN try opening it
