removing colors

Hi…please see the image here so you’ll know what i’m talking about. http://www.coastalconsulting.ca/map_sample.jpg

OK..it’s a map with varying grades of color. You will see blue lines for the rivers, lakes etc and on the far right you see some black lines. I need to know if there is a quick / easy way to remove all colors but the blue and black?

Use Select by Color Range. Before you start selecting, choose the dropper button with the "+" sign to allow you to make cumulative selections. Click on the blue and the black. The resultant mask should only have these colors selected. Inverse the mask and then erase the remainder of the image.
