I have Adobe Photo Shop 6.0. I would like to make metallic gold font not necessarily for a web site. I thought maybe someone might tell me how I can do this. Would I be able to use it in my Windows Fonts Folder? I am very new to Photo Shop.

Patty,

You can SIMULATE gold by using gradients in any font

Fonts do not have any colour attribute of their own (and Photoshop doesn’t create fonts anyway), so there is no way you can have a metallic effect font on your system.

Hi Patty, If you have the Super Blade Pro plugin from Flaming Pear, I have an excellent shiny gold preset that I made which looks good both on the web, and in print.
